As many of you may know, my sister is currently studying Fashion Design at UCLAN. As a part of her final year project, she stands the chance of having her work being displayed at the London Graduate Fashion Week! The catch is that as a class of 50, they will need to raise £5000 to cover for the cost of hiring the promotion stand as well as additional costs such as tickets, models, hairstylists, make-up, photographers etc. Whatever the student raise, the university will match!
For her bit, she is raffling off bottles of wine for 50p a raffle ticket.
- There are 6 bottles to be won: 2 red; 2 white and 2 rose. 6 winners will be drawn at random.
- Winners will receive a text message and can pick up prize from arranged point.
- You can get the raffle through me!
Being sponsored by the likes of River Island, L'Oreal, Revlon and the British Fashion Council, the London Graduate Fashion Week is frequented by headhunters and top gurus from the fashion industry. Having the opportunity to showcase her work there would no doubt serve as a springboard for her career in fashion and an invaluable networking opportunity. I have to admit, she is very talented and commited to her course so much so that I have already chipped into £20 to the course.
Here are some of her work:

This blog will witness my adventure as I progress through to becoming a Civil Engineer. Hopefully this record will be of some use on my way to making sense of this world and those in it.
